My caregivers are more like my friends than my caregivers. I couldn’t do without them!

– Jean B.

My caregiver has helped me by doing things that are difficult for me to do, such as changing the beds and many other tasks. I live alone, so having the support is nice. Live Free did a good job of matching the right caregiver for me; someone who is professional, concerned for my needs, and good with my cat, just like part of the family.

I wanted to thank you for the time you spent with me, my mom, and my sister. You were very helpful and informative and your caring nature really shined through. We interviewed two agencies other than yours and you were the only Registered Nurse that came out to meet with us. I found out later that this was because the other agencies are considered “non-medical” and do not have nurses employed. While at this time mom only needs a few hours a day, 3 days a week of companion care from a non-licensed caregiver, it gives us peace of mind to know that the care is still being supervised by you or one of your other nurses. It will also make it easier as mom continues to age and her needs change to have the next level of care available to us from the same agency.

At the end of the day, while all 3 agencies were very helpful and presented themselves professionally, only with you did I feel like we got a true assessment of mom’s needs and not just a sales pitch for services. Now 3 weeks in, mom is very happy with the added help your agency is providing, and we are confident we made the right choice of agencies! Thank you Jen, so much.

In October of 2006, I broke my right hand. After surgery and six weeks of recovery, the cast was removed. Within hours, I was back in the hospital with a staph infection in my right hand. They admitted me into the hospital for a week, did three surgeries, and started me on an antibiotic I.V.

After a week, I was discharged home but had to return to the hospital twice a day for my I.V. treatment, for the next six weeks. This was not an easy process. My fiancé had to drive me each time because I could not drive. So twice a day, at 9:00 am and again at 9 pm, myself, fiancé, and two daughters would have to drive 25 miles to the hospital, for a two to three hour visit, EVERYDAY. After a week, it was almost impossible to get there twice a day.

At this point, we learned of Live Free Home Health Care in New Hampton, NH, which is a Medical Home Care Agency, and Infusion Solutions in Bedford, NH, who was able to provide the medication. This changed everything from that point on. Jennifer Harvey, the Registered Nurse, made everything work ten times better for my family and me, allowing all treatment to be done at home by coming to my house to do the I.V. No more late night trips to the hospital!

Thank you to Jennifer Harvey and Live Free Home Health Care and Infusion Solutions. Thanks to their teamwork, we were able to maintain our normal lives and schedules as well as getting the proper treatment I needed to make a complete and successful recovery. I only wish someone at the hospital or my physician had given us this option sooner. Thanks for everything.

Thank you for your caring, compassionate, and professional care. Jennifer and Jen A. were lovely to work with and caring and capable. Thank you! If my mom is well enough to be up in the spring we will definitely call you!

As a retired EMT, I am pleased to tell you that I was a patient of Live Free Home Health Care and Infusion Solutions in Central New Hampshire. I found the staff very informative in training the patient on taking care and administering medication to the PIC line that they installed in my arm. I was in no pain when their employee installed the pic line. To me this was very important, as I was totally at ease during a stressful time.

The home health care nurse, Jennifer Harvey, from Live Free Home Health Care was GREAT. She was compassionate and very well trained. I would recommend these companies to any doctor or patient, as it was nice to come home from the hospital and recover. I was certainly less stressed at home, which I feel made my recovery faster than if I stayed in the hospital.

When I started thinking about how to bring my mother home, a lot of the information I received cautioned me to be careful. The private pay agencies leave you hanging when the staff becomes ill and staff is late, and in poor weather conditions they just don’t show and have no back-ups. Another big concern was having strangers in my home for twelve hours per day. I work 40 hours per week and my job cannot be done from home, so how could I make this happen and not lose all my quality of life with my family? However, Mom was very unhappy about being in a nursing home, so I needed to make this happen.

Your Agency was the only one that offered to go to the nursing home to meet my mother, assess what her needs would be, then meet with me to explain the process. I must tell you, once I met with you Jen, I felt I could trust you and that your staff would meet my expectations. You are a very caring, organized and business-minded person. My first impression was correct; you were there when we needed you. When we had some issues and you addressed them, and I always felt I could call you at any time and you would be there to help. That is a wonderful feeling to have when you are taking care of a loved one, and will be leaving them with strangers for most of the day. You were very patient and so was all of your staff. We had a personality issue and it was handled immediately, and not once did I have to lose work due to staffing.

As you can tell, I cannot say enough about your care and the way you manage your agency. I have recommended it to many; and have spoken to quite a few people who wondered how I could have worked and taken care of Mom, and I gave you most of the credit. I know your agency will succeed just because of how you manage it and put people’s needs first and also how you address the needs of the family caregivers.

I want to thank you again for all you and your husband provided and your promptness in the management of a concern. Without your agency this would not have been as good of an experience as it turned out to be and I am very thankful to have found you. Mom was able to come home and have a very peaceful death, and for this I am so grateful. Thanks again, you guys are great!!!!!!

Your service was performed with great knowledge and professional know how. Mom was comfortable with the LNA’s. Thank you so much!

Again, I’d like to thank you for always advocating for the consumers; it confirms the notion that your agency goes above and beyond the expectation of service delivery. Your consistent caring for other’s and diligence in offering uninterrupted, dedicated service to CFI consumers is what continues to set the standard of excellence.

It shouldn’t surprise you that it was only after we were told it was impossible for Al to come to Squam Lake for a part of the summer that Peter and I decided to figure out a way to make it happen! We knew that the right health care would be our most important decision.

As I’ve told you, I interviewed almost a dozen agencies by phone until I narrowed the search down to three, of which you were one. Jen happened to be the first personal interview I had set up, but she put us so at ease, we knew we’d be happy with your organization no matter how great the others may be. It actually helped solidify our decision to hire you after we met with other people (all of whom were just fine). We were able to refine our follow-up questions and get a better handle on what we should do to help the process go as smoothly as possible.

Still, we were pretty apprehensive about everything until we met with Jen and Jen A., our primary caregiver. She is wonderful! Peter and I felt so much better after she had visited the house, seen the set-up, etc. We were able to look forward to the 5 weeks with excitement instead of concern. I’m sure our enthusiasm rubbed off on the rest of the family as well. Everyone pitched in and really contributed to a truly memorable 5 weeks.

We also can’t say enough about Liz and Ann. I think the variety of people Al dealt with was healthy, and we all learned from each other. There’s no question we all made good friends this summer, and hope that he’ll be well enough to make the trip again next year. Needless to say, you’ll be the first to know if it can happen! We are very grateful to you all.
